Actress Hisako Manda.
Perhaps it was because I had watched my mother, who was like a moving fashion magazine, since I was a child, but I never became a fan of the professionally styled subjects I saw on TV or in magazines.
I only thought they had beautiful silhouettes or stylish color combinations, but I was rarely interested in the subjects themselves.
The only person I had a passion for since I was a child was the actress Hisako Manda.
I had always admired her slender figure, curly hair, and Max Mara belted coat, so when I first saw her, I thought, “This is her! I thought to myself, “I’m not going to be able to do that.
At the time, social networking services were not yet common, and I could not gather much information, but I was fascinated by the small articles in the weekly magazines in coffee shops.
In my teens and twenties, when I spent a lot of time with adults, the topic of favorite celebrities always came up in conversations with older people.
When we learned that we were both fans of Hisako Manda, we hit it off immediately, transcending the age difference.
It was a very exciting time.
Her choice of clothes makes the most of the silhouette of her slender body, and her long hair has a strong presence, as if her hair were an accessory.
She is particular about each of her personal belongings and, above all, she has her one and only originality.
She wears things because she thinks they are beautiful, and because she has them, she wants to have them herself.
She is a precious existence that has entertained me since I was a teenager, when I could not easily find such an existence.
I respect that she still keeps the same position of admiration for women in their 40s, 50s, and 60s.
Of course, I still put myself in a place where people can see me, and I still take good care of my skin, muscle training, exercise, and
I am sure it is because they do yoga, etc., but the way they age naturally is very attractive to me.
My ideal is not to look young, but to look youthful.
Of course, if someone orders me to make them look younger through personal styling, I am confident that I can make them look 5 to 10 years younger naturally by combining hair, makeup, and fashion (I’m a forward thinker), but basically, I am good at bringing out the best in people and covering up only the points that bother them.
I can make a person look a certain way on the outside, but the inside (the way of life) also comes out in the atmosphere.
I think it is also important to spend time imagining how you would like to be in order to approach your ideal.
In the case of Hisako Manda, she was chosen to represent Japan in the Miss Universe pageant, so she was born with a great deal of talent.
Her style, face, skin texture, hair texture, and the strength that exudes from within.
The lines of her body are thin, but you can sense her muscularity.
To keep beautiful long hair even after one’s 40s, it needs to be manageable and shiny.
In a sense, she is showing us her strongest and most beautiful hair because she is blessed with the right qualities and has been polished by professionals.
Now, let’s see.
How can we, ordinary people, stand shoulder to shoulder with such a fashionable rascal as Hisako Manda?
First of all, it is good to imitate the way people dress who you think look nice. While doing so, you should create your own fashion spine. What looks good on you now, what is comfortable to wear, and what makes you feel like yourself.
Find those things, create a spine that will become the core of your dressing style, practice, and when you get the hang of it, add what you want to wear and what you like to wear.
From there, little by little, you will establish your originality and complete your style.
Isn’t it too late to start this process in your 40s? I know some of you may think that, but don’t worry.
On the contrary, since you are starting from a brand-new state with no strange habits, you are a fast-growing stock with a lot of room for growth, a diamond in the rough.
In fashion, there is only practice.
Let’s start by getting used to wearing clothes together!
